"When it comes to my writing style, all that I perceive in the world around me finds its way into my writing in one way or another. Not necessarily as my own life experiences unfolding on the page, but as how my imagination transforms them into new realities.

I have recently published my first novel, A Love Beyond Time, the first book in the Power of Love Quartet. A Love Beyond Time has been well reviewed on Amazon. I am currently working on the second book in the quartet, A Memory of Love."

Q:  At what point did you decide to make writing a profession? What got you started in the industry?

A:  I’d say I had that moment back in 2013 when I decided to finish A Love Beyond Time and get it published. I knew it was something I could be good at and decided to see how far I could go. It all started with an idea actually. One day a storyline popped into my head. Up to that point, I had no idea that I would ever be a writer, and then suddenly I was.

Q:  How long have you been writing?

A:  I’ve been writing off and on for the last fifteen years.

Q:  What is your genre?

A:  Contemporary Romance with a Paranormal Twist

Q:  If you could write in any other genre, what would it be?

A:  I actually do plan on writing in other genres, specifically Science Fiction and Fantasy, but I will write these novels under my real name. Romance and Science fiction are rather divergent genres from one another, so much so that I don’t want to alienate the fans that I will acquire in the romance genre.

Q:  Where do you get your plot ideas?

A:  The plot ideas come from everything around me. There are times that they just pop out of the back of my mind. A prime example of popping out of my head would be the one that decided to reveal itself in a half waking dream this morning. Those are often the weirdest plot ideas, but this one was interesting enough that it may actually make it into something after it gets some additional work. Who would read a novel of involving Empires, Empresses, and assassins?

Q:  Who or what inspires you?

A:  There are authors that I’m fans of and that I read for enjoyment I do also use them as teaching tools to learn various different writing styles and techniques. Beyond that, I’d say my inspiration comes from the wacky, and sometimes wild, corners of my own head.

Q:  Do you have a favorite “brain food,” a.k.a. snack food, when writing?

A:  Not really. I tend to be too busy writing to stop and eat anything. I write so intensely at times that I get a cramp in my writing hand. When that happens, I can only stop long enough to shake my hand before the muse is screaming at me to continue.

Q:  How do you approach a difficult scene? Do you tackle it head on or take time to mull it over?

A:  I’m in the middle of a tough scene right now, and I’ve decided to take a step back from it and generally delve deeper into my characters before I tackle that scene once more. Generally, I would dive right in and tackle the scene, but this one has been such a bear that I’ve decided that I need a new tact with it. I’m going to let it simmer for a while and work on another storyline altogether. I’m not giving up on it completely since the new storyline is a prequel novella to my first book A Love Beyond Time.

Q:  In general, how many drafts and edits do you go through per novel?

A:  I’ve only finished the one so far, but I do know that if my next one is anything like the first then I will do over a half dozen on each of them.

Q:  Because the writing process is all-consuming, how do you re-energize yourself and gear up for the next novel? Do you take time off?

A:  I did take some time off from after my first novel. At this point, I don’t know if I will do that with every novel. I may just switch gears and work on one of the ideas that I have in other genres as a change of pace.

Q:  What book(s) do you currently have for sale?
